About King’s Church Kendal

Formed in 2006, King’s is a Christian church full of ordinary people who have discovered the extraordinary life that is available through relationship with Jesus. We are part of the Christ Central family of churches. The Church meet together on Sunday Mornings and you are welcome to come and join us at 10.30am at Kirkbie Kendal School, Lound Road, Kendal. Occasionally the School holds its own events on Sunday mornings, at these times, we meet to worship at our alternate venue, The Castle Street Centre.

OUR VISION

Jesus says this about himself “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10)

We want to be a community of people who know and are known by God.  A church where people know each other as a family, where people are accepted and supported and can grow in this life Jesus gives.  A life living with his Holy Spirit from day to day.  A life living with the power and reality of His saving Gospel, proclaiming the truth that He died on the cross for our sins and was raised to life three days later.  Lives that reach out to all kinds of people in Kendal, the surrounding towns and villages and outward to the nations with His love and care.

Life with the Gospel
Growing out
TAKING THE GOSPEL INTO ALL OF LIFE AND BEING THE FRAGRANCE OF CHRIST: We love Jesus and we know He is the answer. We want to be a people who are bold in sharing the beautiful truth of the gospel with everyone we meet.
Life in the Spirit
Growing up
THE HOLY SPIRIT PERVADING OUR LIVES IN EVERY SITUATION: The Holy Spirit gives gifts to the church, to see the church mature but also to demonstrate the power of God and share the gospel. We want to be a people who are attentive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, not just on Sunday mornings, but every day of our lives.
Life with People
Gathering in
LOVING EVERYONE AS GOD THE FATHER LOVES US: We are family together. Not just a group who meet on Sundays, but people whose lives are connected. Where we genuinely care, love with courage and model authenticity. Everyone is welcome in the family of God.
