Church Life

The biblical picture of Christian church doesn’t begin and end with Sunday meetings. In the book of Acts, we get a picture of a dynamic, spirit-filled group of people who loved Jesus and were involved with one another’s lives day in day out. As well as the limited list of ‘organised’ activities listed below, you will find that we spend a lot of time together doing different things during the week. Whether that’s meeting for coffee, praying together, sharing meals, going to the cinema and even music gigs. Church life looks like family life.

For more information on any of the events below, check out the calendar.

Small Groups

One of the primary ways we meet together during the week is in our Small Groups. We love them so much, we gave them a dedicated page on the website, so follow this link for more info.

Coffee Morning

Every Tuesday at 10:00am-12:00pm during term time, the women in the church meet for tea and coffee. The venue changes weekly, so be sure to check the calendar for this week’s location.

Men’s curry and film nights

We have a regular schedule of ‘Men’s Nights’, which often involve curry and/or a movie.

Prayer Meeting

We meet every Thursday at 9:30am – 10:30am at the Shakespeare Centre, Kendal, LA9 4HE for our prayer meeting. We worship together and pray for the things that God puts on our heart.

Walks – mid-week and weekend

David Laud (our resident mountain goat) organises a fantastic range of walks; from the flat and steady to more adventurous, in the beautiful Lake District where we live.

We regularly facilitate baptisms, if you’re wanting to get baptised please let us know using the contact form.
